Profile

Gordon is a graduate student and PhD candidate in the Department of Chemistry at the 91ɬÂþ in Durham. His research discipline is Chemistry Education Research (CER), which involves the pedagogic theory and practice of chemistry instruction at all educational levels. His specific interests include studying the impact of student affective characteristics on chemistry course performance, and examining the ways in which college chemistry students’ ideas about structure-property relationships evolve. Gordon moved to New Hampshire in 2015 with his wife Jamie, and has been a graduate lecturer at U91ɬÂþ Durham since 2017 and adjunct faculty at U91ɬÂþ Manchester since 2019.
